American Cancer Society Fundraiser not taking off (mindie5 07/26/06 8:05pm)
I need help. My name is Kelly DeMato and I am the new and proud owner of Helping Hands Errand Service. I am trying to do a fundraiser for the ACS (American Cancer Society) but I'm having trouble.
I am doing a chinese auction. Some of you may have seen me going around town. I have been going to local stores asking for a donation. These items will then be auctioned off and all the beneifits will go to the american cancer society.
Here's the problem. I don't have a place to host the chinese auction. I didn't think it was going to be this hard. No offense but Holbrook doesn't make charity events that easy to host. Although the local business owners have been very kind. I am regretful that I might have to cancel it.
Please someone help me find a place. I wanted it go happen mid august (specifically Aug. 18th) but not as we get closer it doesn't look as bright.
